Kasey Knudsen

Kasey Knudsen is a San Francisco-based saxophonist, composer, and educator who earned her Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Composition from Berklee College of Music in 2002. Dubbed one of the region's most esteemed saxophonists, she has become an essential voice in the Bay Area jazz scene, leading her own projects while collaborating with innovative musicians including Tune-Yards, Fred Frith, and Ben Goldberg. As an educator, she specializes in improvisation, harmony, and saxophone technique at the California Jazz Conservatory and other institutions.
